FIDE Candidates Rd1: Kamsky draw first blood

In the first decisive game of the Candidates Matches in Kazan, Russia (May 3-27), US chess Champion Gata Kamsky defeated Veselin Topalov on the black side of the Grunfeld. Topalov played a provocative line involving queen-side castling, a decision he later paid dearly for. The match score is now 1.5/2 with two games to go.
