Intuition as a means of avoiding errors

Intuitive decisions are very often necessary for transition from one type of endgame to another. Of course, in the majority of cases exchange can be assessed by analysis and your own intuition should first and foremost warn against failure. This is to some degree a kind of prophylactic intuition.
